For a retirement village, what would be entailed in this criteria and what are the main factors determining whether to abandon or pursue the project?
3. Wrt taxes, you have paid almost R4 million for the tax liability of 2008. Does that mean you are required to catch up on all the tax liabilities from then till now? Does that money come out of the Communicare Reserves?
4. How does Communicare Retirement Villages make a month-month revenue if once all the life right units are sold, it is pumping out money to pay for all the services offered to the retirees?

4.Applicants in receipt of a permanent disability grant or who have been declared medically unfit by a medical doctor but able to function independently may qualify provided the combined household income is between R1,500 – R7,500 per month.
5. Applicants with an income of Single applicants will only qualify for a bachelor flat or room with shared bathroom facilities.
6. Applicants must not have owned State subsidized or private property before or currently renting subsidized accommodation from Communicare, State or the Municipality

How big do the service spaces need to be? ie. parking for Communicare vehicles, laundromats ect. 4. What leisurely services would you want to be included into the development? ie the on site hair dresser, library, bingo room ect. 5. What is the monthly rental income you are looking for per unit? 6. Is there a need for different size units? ie. one and two bedrooms
Following on from the previous comment by Lavani, and with particular reference to the needs of the elderly, I feel that the one area of concern that hasn’t been looked into is that of the utility to the occupants.

What steps are taken to ensure that, for example, under the service of ‘assisted living’, nurses are providing the care and ‘love’ that these elderly require?
For example, are there certain feedback systems whereby the elderly may report back on the care they have received?
If so, is it done in an anonymous and secure environment where the occupants can express their feelings honestly and without fear of consequence?
